“Ameritas Group is currently assessing the well-being of our customers, including policyholders, members, brokers and dentists, in the affected areas,” said Ameritas Group Division President Ken VanCleave, LLIF. “We are determined to do what’s best for these individuals based on their immediate needs, and to ease their burden at this difficult time.”

There are several issues Ameritas Group will be addressing in response to these disasters, including group administration, billing and claims payment. As businesses and individuals focus on recovery efforts, Ameritas Group customers can be assured coverage will remain intact and claims will continue to be processed. The division also will closely follow any orders or mandates released from state insurance departments.

“Each customer’s situation will be addressed on a case-by-case basis,” added VanCleave. “We know needs may vary greatly and we are investigating all possible solutions. Processes are currently in place to allow flexibility for premium payments and eligibility updates. We want to stress that affected cases will not be terminated and our goal is to work with each customer to continue to deliver benefits and services as efficiently as possible.”
